While
walking on the boardwalk,
We
saw the affluent to middle class,
The
rich, the poor and the homeless,
Some
sleeping on benches as we passed…
Who
are these homeless people,
Some
people say they were once well to do,
What
made them lose their fortunes,
Only
God knows what they’ve been through…
We
stood in line for dinner,
And
it was quite a long wait,
The
high rollers walked in ahead,
What
did this gambling thing create?
We
gambled in the casinos,
And
lost like most of us do,
The
high rollers get preferential treatment,
I
thought, “what is this world coming to?”
Being
affluent is one thing,
But
being middle class is considered another,
We
should all be treated equally,
No
one is better than any other…
