The Castle
The castle peered through the
trees,
With it’s turrets so bold.
All castles tell a story,
And now my story will unfold.
This breath-taking castle,
Upon the side of the mountain
it stood.
It was of medieval design,
Was it from the days of Robin
Hood?
Was it the castle where Rapunzel
Let down her hair?
Or the castle where Romeo and
Juliet,
Celebrated their love affair.
Maybe from the kingdom of Rome,
Where Caesar did dwell.
Or from Sodom and Gomorrah,
Where they bid us farewell.
Kingdoms and castles,
Are landmarks made of stone,
They have lived for centuries,
Some are mysteries; some well-known…
