It’s hard to sit around,
And see lots of co-workers gone,
Replaced by contractors,
It makes me feel withdrawn…
Nothing but confusion exists,
Since our workload has increased,
No more help from management,
They can’t replace those released…
Many of my co-worker friends,
Their jobs have disappeared,
I will see them no more,
Something I always feared…
The big shots in Washington,
Have made their own revisions,
Not seeking help from the workers,
And making their own decisions…
They tell us the reorganization,
Is necessary to cut all costs,
At the expense of many near retirement,
Those poor souls are now lost…
Did management lie to us,
And not seek our help on purpose,
It makes all the government workers,
Once again feel so worthless…
Dedicated to all my co-worker friends at the
Federal Aviation Administration
forced to move or be let go,
after being told
“no one will lose their job….”
This situation is totally unjust.
